A step-by-step guide for 6th graders to create, produce, and publish a podcast or webinar
First, decide what kind of show you want to make. This will help you write the right kind of script.
Think of 3 ideas for your episode. Pick the one you're most excited about.
Topic: _______________________________
Why it's interesting: _______________________________
Topic: _______________________________

Give your episode a catchy title that makes people want to click.
Title: _______________________________
Good titles: "How to Start a YouTube Channel in 2025" • "5 Secrets to Better Grades" • "Why the Ocean is Scarier Than Space"
Use this fill-in-the-blank template. Write how you talk — short sentences, natural rhythm.
Say hello, introduce yourself, and tell them what they'll learn.
"Hey everyone! Welcome back to ________________ (your show name). I'm ________________ (your name) and today we're talking about ________________ (your topic). Let's get into it!"
Your first main idea. Start with a fact, a story, or a question.
"The first thing you need to know is ________________. Here's why it matters: ________________. For example, ________________."
Your second main idea. Build on the first one.
"Next up, let's talk about ________________. This is important because ________________. A lot of people don't realize that ________________."
Your third main idea. This is your strongest point.
"And finally, here's the biggest secret: ________________. If you remember one thing from this episode, let it be this: ________________."
Summarize, say thanks, and tell them what to do next.
"So to wrap it up: ________________ (quick summary). Thanks so much for listening! If you enjoyed this, ________________ (ask them to subscribe, share, or comment). I'll see you in the next one!"
• Use [PAUSE] to add a beat between ideas
• Use HOST: and GUEST: if you have 2 speakers
• Keep sentences under 15 words
• Read it out loud — if it sounds weird, rewrite it
Now you turn your script into real audio. Click 🎙️ Podcast Studio in the top nav.
Click the 🎙️ Podcast Studio button in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
In the Voice Studio tab, paste your script into the text box. If you have 2 speakers, click "2 Speakers" and paste each person's lines separately.
Browse the voice library. You can search by name, filter by language (English, Spanish, French, etc.), or filter by gender. Click a voice to select it. There are 60+ voices to choose from!
Adjust the Speed (how fast they talk), Pitch (high or low), Volume (loud or soft), and Emotion (happy, sad, excited, etc.).
Click 🎤 Generate Audio. Wait a few seconds. Then click ▶️ Play to listen. If you like it, move to the next step!
• For a professional podcast, pick a voice that matches your topic
• For fun content, pick an energetic voice
• Test a few voices before picking one — you can always change it
Want your podcast in Haitian Creole or another language? Just flip the switch!
In the Voice Studio tab, look for the "Translate to Haitian Creole" checkbox. Check it, then click Generate Audio. The system will translate your script first, then create the audio in Creole. The avatar will speak Creole with perfect lip sync!
Right now we support Haitian Creole 🇭🇹. More languages coming soon! The translation uses AI to keep your meaning and tone exactly right.
Now turn your audio into a talking-head video! The avatar will speak your words with natural lip movements and expressions.
After generating audio, click 🎬 Send to Avatar Video. This automatically switches to the Avatar Video tab with your audio loaded.
Choose a face for your video. Click on an avatar to select it. For 2-speaker shows, pick one avatar for each person.
Paste your ElevenLabs voice ID. This makes the avatar use YOUR voice. Find your voice ID in the ElevenLabs Voice Library.
Click 🎬 Create Avatar Video. Wait 2–5 minutes while the system creates your video. The progress bar shows you how it's going.
• Pick an avatar that matches your show's vibe
• For interviews, pick 2 different avatars so viewers can tell them apart
• The avatar's lips will move perfectly with your audio — it looks like a real person talking!
Your video is ready! Now you can download it to your computer or share it with the world.
Click the ⬇️ Download MP4 button. The video saves to your computer. You can watch it anytime, send it to friends, or upload it anywhere.
If a part doesn't look right, you can change the scene type and re-render just that part. No need to redo the whole video!
Videos can be large (50–200MB for a 5-minute podcast). Make sure you have enough space on your computer before downloading.
Share your podcast with the world! You can post to all major platforms at once.
Click the 📤 Publish to Social Media button. This opens Postiz — a tool that lets you post to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and more all at once!
• Post on TikTok and Instagram Reels with a short clip from your podcast
• Upload the full episode to YouTube and Spotify
• Share the link on your social media with a catchy caption
• Post consistently — one episode per week is better than ten in one day!
Here's every button in the navigation bar and whether you still need it.
You need ALL of them. Every icon serves a purpose. The only thing missing was this workbook — and now it's here.
You created a podcast or webinar from start to finish. That's amazing!
Remember: The more you practice, the better you'll get. Your first episode doesn't have to be perfect — just hit publish and keep going!
